Open World is excited whenever DigiPen faculty members and other expert creative professionals want to share their knowledge directly with the next generation of creators. Our Masterclasses offer students the opportunity to learn from these experienced instructors in an engaging, focused environment.
We’re proud to offer this Concept Art Masterclass, taught by professional concept artist and illustrator Andrew Theophilopoulos. In this workshop, students will learn the basics of 3D sketching and modeling using the Blender graphics software, then take their work and finish/polish their art in a 2D painting app. Note that no 3D art production experience is required, though some experience in creating 2D digital art is needed.
Andrew’s experience and flexibility ensures that every student who participates in the workshop will come away with an appreciation for professional concept art and a better understanding of the powerful tools offered through the Blender graphics software.
Andrew’s credits include work at:
Sony Pictures Animation
